KUALA LUMPUR – Police have asked attendees of the Undur Azam Baki event at a hall above Restoran Amjal not to leave the area.

So far, cops have ordered the attendees to hand over their identity cards.

A police officer was heard telling attendees that they will take down their personal details first and await instructions for further action.

Muda co-founder Dr Thanussha Francis Xavier told The Vibes: “They are not letting us leave.”

The Undur Azam Baki event here was attended by various youth activists ahead of the #TangkapAzamBaki rally scheduled to take place at the Bangsar LRT station at 11am tomorrow.

The protest was initially scheduled to take place at Sogo.

However, Dang Wangi police have ordered road and public transportation closures at Kuala Lumpur, forcing organisers to move the event to the LRT station. – The Vibes, January 22, 2022
