PANDAN MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli today urged PH coalition partners PKR, DAP and Amanah to take a clear stand over the handling of allegations against MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.
The former minister and PKR deputy president cautioned that the government must avoid repeating mistakes of the Barisan Nasional administration, especially during the 1MDB scandal.
Speaking at the #TangkapAzamBaki rally, he said the people are watching the matter closely, and the issue could become a liability to the government.
He called on Pakatan Harapan partners, specifically the DAP, to speak up on the matter.
"If no action is taken, this will no longer be seen as being about just one person.
"If institutions are not reformed and leadership is not assured to be free from conflicts of interest, public trust will continue to erode," he said.
Rafizi said if the government does not act to suspend Azam and conduct an independent and transparent probe, then the people have no choice but to take to the streets again.
About 1,000 people participated in the rally in front of Sogo KL, following reports of Azam's alleged shareholding and the agency's purported links to a corporate mafia. – February 15, 2026
