KOTA KINABALU – There is a sufficient supply of necessities for Sabahans throughout the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

Sabah's Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) director, Georgie Abas, said it would continuously monitor the supply of goods during the period.

“Sabah's KPDNHEP will also ensure that traders comply with the laws enforced,” he said in a statement today.

Georgie said since the CMCO was implemented on October 13, the state KPDNHEP has prepared an operations room at all its branch offices to handle complaints and enquiries, especially those related to the supply and prices of goods.

He said the operations room in Kota Kinabalu operates daily from 8am to 10pm, while the branch offices are open from 8am to 8pm.

He added that the state's KPDNHEP has appointed 170 district retailers and 89 district wholesalers statewide to monitor the supply of necessities. – Bernama, November 8, 2020
