KUALA LUMPUR – Police are urging those with missing friends or relatives to come forward following the discovery in Sepang this morning of a body with deep wounds.
Sepang police chief Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said the victim, believed to be aged between 20 and 30, was found with deep slash wounds on both sides of his abdomen that exposed portions of his organs.
“His hands were bound with cable ties and his pants lowered to reveal his crotch with injuries also seen on his genitals,” said Wan Kamarul in a statement today.
He said the victim was otherwise found clothed lying face up, without any identification documents or a Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) scar on his shoulder, and with a mask pulled down to his chin.
“We ask for families with missing members or those with friends missing to come forward and assist police.”
He said checks by investigators and police’s K9 unit at the scene retrieved one sickle cover, three cigarette butts, a clump of hair, and two blood stains near the victim.
The body was found at a site in Jalan Sepang in an area surrounded by palm oil plantations, and accessible via inter-district trunk roads as police were notified of the incident by a local man around 8.30am.
Wan Kamarul said interviews conducted with construction workers on a nearby site found that the incident could have happened between 7pm yesterday and 8am today.
“Checks showed the last person in the area said everything appeared in place yesterday evening before they left from work, and only made the discovery this morning when they were about to begin work,” he said. – The Vibes, April 15, 2022
