KUALA LUMPUR – Opposition leader and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hopes that the Deepavali celebration will soon signify a victory over falsehoods, and justice over corruption.

Wishing all celebrants the best wishes of Deepavali, he said the Festival of Lights marks the victory of light over darkness and Hindus should reflect on this by installing lights that illuminate the streets and the houses.

He said the great meaning of the celebration is to mark that truth prevails over falsehood and justice can prevail over corruption and evil acts.

Deepavali or Diwali is one of the largest forms of celebration celebrated by Hindus all over the world.

This year’s Deepavali celebrations will be held under the glare of Covid-19 pandemic so Anwar hopes that everyone will take the necessary precaution to avoid the virus.

“I urge Hindus to remain steadfast and strong, as well as to increase their vigilance so that we can all come out of this pandemic successfully.

“I wish ‘Deepavali Nal Valthukal’ to all Hindus in Malaysia,” said Anwar. - The Vibes, November 13, 2020
