KUALA LUMPUR – Veteran singer, actress and all-round entertainer Adibah Noor Mohd Omar has died at the age of 51.

The matter was confirmed to The Vibes by fellow entertainment industry stalwart Datuk Afdlin Shauki.

It is understood she breathed her last at Gleneagles Hospital at Jalan Ampang here.

While the exact cause of death remains unclear, The New Straits Times reports that Adibah had succumbed to ovarian cancer.

Kuala Lumpur native Adibah, or Kak Dibah as she was fondly known, was a familiar face to Malaysian households, appearing in numerous television commercials, series and films such as Sepet (2004), Nasi Lemak 2.0 (2011) and Mencari Rahmat (2017).

Just last week, a photo posted on her personal Instagram page drew the attention of thousands of fans who were surprised by how much weight the celebrity had lost.

She later revealed to The Malay Mail that she had lost 18kg since Ramadan this year, something she attributed to controlling her food and drink intake. – The Vibes, June 18, 2022
