ALOR STAR – The five water treatment plants (WTP) in Kedah that were affected by the floods and water surge phenomenon in Baling last Monday are back in operation.

According to the Corporate Communications Division of Syarikat Air Darul Aman (Sada), as of 9am today, the Sg Petani, Pinang Tunggal, Kulim Hi-Tech, Kuala Ketil Lama and Kuala Ketil Baru water treatments plants were operating at maximum speed.

“The operation of all the WTPs has been restored and the restoration of water supply to the affected consumers will be in stages depending on the distance of the location of their premises and the water pressure on the water supply distribution system,” it said in a statement on its official Facebook page today.
