KUALA LUMPUR – The body of a man was found lying in the middle of Jalan Bangsar heading towards Pantai Dalam early this morning with injuries on the body.

Brickfields district police chief ACP Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin said his department received a call on the discovery of the unidentified body at about 5.38am.

“Further investigations found stab wounds on several parts of the victim who is in his 30’s.

“His remains were taken to University of Malaya Medical Centre for an autopsy,” he said in a statement today.

Zairulnizam said investigations are still ongoing to track the victim's next of kin and identify the motive for the incident.

He said the case was classified as murder and is investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“Anyone with information about the victim or who have missing family members can contact the police at 03-22979222 to assist with the investigation,” he said. 

Earlier, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) via a Twitter feed on ITIS DBKL website, informed the public of the closure of the road from KL Sentral to Abdullah Hukum at 7.20 am today to allow the police to conduct an investigation at the scene. The road was reopened at 8.25 am.  – Bernama, November 19, 2020
