SIK – A wild boar left Sik Hospital’s staff and visitors stunned after it wandered into the premises before breaking into one of the office rooms, here, yesterday.

Speaking to The Vibes’ sister portal, Getaran, state health director Dr Othman Warijo expressed his relief that no one was injured following the incident.

“I was informed that the incident occurred when the wild boar suddenly entered the hospital vicinity and broke into the Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd office.”

Othman said the 1.55pm incident saw the wild boar smashing two glass doors at the office.

Photos and videos showing the wild boar being frightened after stumbling into the office went viral on social media. 

He also noted that the hospital management had contacted the Fire and Rescue Department to capture the animal.

“However, the boar managed to escape into a nearby forest,” he said. – The Vibes, August 3, 2022
