KOTA KINABALU – The weather forecast for Sabah has been downgraded from an orange alert to yellow, but residents are urged to remain vigilant as heavy rains are still expected.
A warning issued by the Meteorological Department showed a yellow alert at 11.45am due to heavy rains forecast for the state’s west coast, Kudat and interior areas until tomorrow.
“We have downgraded the bad weather warning grade (orange alert) for several districts,” said state Meteorological Department director Amir Zudi Hashim.
Yesterday, the department issued an orange alert for continuous rains in several districts in the state.
The alert was for Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Tuaran, Kota Belud and here.
Bad weather was also expected in Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau, Tambunan, Ranau and Kudat. – The Vibes, November 29, 2020
