KUALA LUMPUR – The lack of detail in Budget 2021's RM1 billion allocation for special projects under the Prime Minister’s Department (PMD) raises transparency issues, Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau told the Dewan Rakyat today.
Tangau (Upko-Tuaran) also questioned the RM900 million allocation for special projects under the Finance Ministry.
“They are labelled special projects, but what are the details of these special projects? We don’t know.
“I want to ask the ministers in the PMD as well as the finance minister to provide details of these special projects given their high costs.”
Meanwhile, he highlighted the management of human resources, particularly allowances for the civil service.
He said the civil service in Sabah serving in the peninsula gets different allowances depending on where they are stationed.
“I want to know if the Finance Ministry will make changes to this issue, where RM32 million has been allocated for next year.” – The Vibes, November 30, 2020
