Selangor Perikatan to get chief ‘in a month or two’

SHAH ALAM – The Selangor Perikatan Nasional chairman will be appointed in a month or two, said state Bersatu chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari.

He said the matter is being given much thought by Prime Minister and pact chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

PN was registered on August 7.

Despite the absence of a chairman, said Rashid, Selangor PN is already drawing up strategies to boost cooperation within the pact and with its allies.

He said the chapter is engaging with state PAS commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yunus Hairi and state Barisan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar.

“Our primary focus is to work out strategies to recapture Selangor from Pakatan Harapan in the next general election.” – Bernama, December 2, 2020
