PETALING JAYA – There is no denying that election campaigns can take its toll on those involved and one Lembah Jaya candidate is honest about his immediate plans after the state election concludes.

Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman, better known as Altimet, cast his vote at SMK Seri Keramat this morning.

The Pakatan Harapan candidate for Lembah Jaya, who is also a popular singer and rapper, posted a photo on Twitter where he posed with another voter who was on his way to his own wedding but decided to cast his ballot first.

“This brother exercised his duty (to vote) and will add more duties (getting married). Pray that he gets it through in one lafaz,” he said, referring to the Islamic marriage solemnisation.

Speaking to reporters, Altimet admitted he was tired.

“Honestly speaking, I am tired. After this, maybe I’ll take a day just to sleep,” he was quoted as saying.

He expressed hope that people will come out to vote as it is their power, right and privilege as citizens.

“I think Selangorians are rational enough to come out and vote,” he added.
