ALOR STAR – Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has apologised to anyone who felt offended by anything Perikatan Nasional (PN) may have done or said during the campaign period for the state elections.

The caretaker Kedah menteri besar said he apologised for the sake of “Muslim brotherhood” and in accordance with Islamic teachings.

“On behalf of PN, I apologise to everyone in the state and also throughout the country if anything we said or did offend you,” he said.

Sanusi, who is also the PN election director, was speaking at a gathering at the state PAS complex here, yesterday.

All newly-elected assemblymen from PN were also present at the gathering.

“On my part, I have forgiven everyone who attacked me during the campaign.

“I would also like to call upon all other PN leaders and supporters to also forgive everyone who offended you,” he said.

He also called on the people not to mock Pakatan Harapan or Barisan Nasional leaders.

On Saturday, PAS secured 33 of the total 36 state seats in Kedah to form the state government. – The Vibes, August 14, 2023
