HOW does one navigate the world of hook-ups, or be friends with benefits without complications, a.k.a. feelings? Maybe a guide in balancing the emotional and physical connection in relationships would help. Where do you draw (or blur) the line?

Besides that, let’s talk about consent. Living in the age of technology, many think that they can say or do whatever they like without being accountable for it. When we hear the word ‘rape’ for example, it makes many of us feel extremely uncomfortable, unsafe and violated. In the battle to end sexual assault, we need to recognise our own complacency with rape culture, and work diligently to change it. Language is a small step, but a profound one.

Sex really is a taboo subject in our culture, especially in an Asian setting. How much of the birds and bees did we learn in school and how much of it was from watching porn? What do we actually know? And what about the emotional side of having these sexual experiences?

Continuing on from our previous episode with Nicole Ng and Ahirul Ahiruddin, Projek Adulting dives deeper into the topic of love, this time talking about all things ‘dirty’, and as Nicole says: “you have two hands for a reason.”

Indeed you do. – The Vibes, July 1, 2022
