KELANTAN – It’s another exciting time for Kelantan FC fans as the owner Norizam Tukiman revealed his initial plan to build new training centres for the first time.

While he has not revealed how many training centres he wants to build, five locations including three in Kota Bharu have been identified for the construction of the training centres.

“The cost of the entire project with complete facilities is estimated between RM5 and RM10 million.”

“The plan was among the proactive measures drawn up in a bid to bring back the football team’s glory days and help players to be more competitive,” Norizam said.

“Apart from changing room, dining area and restroom, the centres will also be equipped with the football turf that meets the standards set by the International Football Federation (FIFA).”

If the plan succeeds, Kelantan FC will have a complete training centre for the first time in their history.

Another plan is to buy a football pitch at Pasir Tumboh, Kelantan owned by Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute, a pitch that has been used by Kelantan FC as a makeshift training centre.

A businessman and stock investor, Norizam took over Kelantan FC on Sept 3 as the new owner, buying shares worth RM3 million and became a major shareholder.

He also settled RM3.8 million debt and unpaid salaries involving 13 players and two coaches.

FAM confirmed Kelantan FC is in the final stages to complete the privatization process.

“We also aim to be the first football club to be listed on the Malaysian stock market by 2025,” he added. – Football Tribe, September 25, 2020
