LIVERPOOL – Thiago Alcantara is said to become Liverpool’s new number six after it was reported that a £25 million (RM134 million) fee was agreed with Bayern Munich.

The Spain midfielder is considered one of the best box-to-box midfielders’ players in the world as he contributed significantly in Bayern’s Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final recently.

It could have knock-on effects in the squad with Barcelona trying to sign Gini Wijnaldum, the player most likely to lose out on minutes to Thiago at Anfield imminently. – The Independent, September 19, 2020.
