PETALING JAYA – All Liga Malaysia teams have successfully submitted all documentation to complete the club privatization process including the separation from the football association (FA) to the football club (FC) before the deadline tonight.
This is after PDRM and UKM FC became the last two teams to complete the process.
FAM Professional Football Special Committee chairman, Mohd Firdaus Mohamed said, the process have been completed by 21 Malaysian League teams for the 2020 season including ATM FA, now known as Armed Forces FC which plays in the M3 League.
“This is a historic moment to the privatization process of football clubs in the country when all teams and clubs successfully complete the privatization process before the deadline of September 30,” he said.
“As the Chairman of the FAM Professional Football Special Committee, I also thank the FAM President, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin who always motivates the newly one-year-old committee in completing such important tasks.”
“Thank you also to the committee staff who sacrificed their energy and worked hard day and night to help ensure that all the teams and clubs of the Liga Malaysia can complete the privatization process.”
This also means that all 21 teams are eligible to play in the Liga Super and Liga Premier next season. – Football Tribe, September 30, 2020
