Supporters lend financial assistance to beleaguered Perak team

KUALA LUMPUR – Perak FC is in the doldrums at the moment but the fans are not ready to give up as they stand strong behind the Premier League outfit, offering financial support.

In a recent a video posted on @nocontextbolamy’s Twitter page, a Perak FC fan is seen offering a jar filled with money.

This gesture by the supporter took the Perak players by surprise as they applauded and thanked him as well as those in the stands who can be heard saying, “If the management has no money, we will give money!”

In the video, the players cheered and bowed to the supporters for their contribution and undying support to the team.

The fans are targeting to collect RM1.7 million in order to rescue their team.

Perak FC have been given a six-point deduction in their 2022 Premier League campaign after failing to settle salary arrears of players and officials belonging to the main and reserve teams since November 2021.

This comes after a three-point deduction as the management missed the initial deadline on March 31 set by the First Instance Body (FIB).

Perak FC fans have been gathering donations to help pull their team through these rough times following the nine-point deduction.
