KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia continues its domination in diving at the 2022 Hanoi SEA Games as Ng Yan Yee brings home the fifth gold and Ong Ker Ying added a second silver to the medal tally at the women’s individual 3m springboard event.
Yan Yee led all five rounds with a score of 57.00, 65.10, 52.50, 40.50, 55.50, bringing the total score to 270.60.
Ker Ying meanwhile had a total score of 242.40 with the breakdown being 44.40, 49.50, 36.00, 58.50, 54.00.
The bronze medal was claimed by Singaporean diver Fong Kay Yian, who mustered a total score of 230.15.
Meanwhile, diving duo Jellson Jabillin-Hanis Nazirul Jaya Surya added another gold medal to the tally by winning the men’s synchronised 10m platform event.
Their total score of 345.93 gave them the advantage with the score breakdown of the six rounds being 46.20, 46.80, 60.30, 70.08, 52.47, 70.08.
Singapore came in second with a total score of 322.50 to take home the silver medal, while home divers from Vietnam had a score of 251.46 to win bronze. – The Vibes, May 10, 2022
