KUALA LUMPUR – One Championship, the largest mixed-martial arts (MMA) organisation in the world, returns to Malaysia to present two action-packed nights at the Axiata Arena on October 21 and 22.

The return to Kuala Lumpur marks the first time One Championship is holding an event here since December 2019.

The first night on October 21, named One 162, features the main card fight set between China’s Zhang Peimian and Canadian-Italian Jonathan Di Bella for the One Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship.

The next day’s action, named One Fight Night, will feature the main card fight between Brazilians John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade fighting it out for the One Bantamweight World Championship.

The event will also include two special postliminary bouts, featuring Malaysian MMA star Agilan “Alligator” Thani in a welterweight showdown against Germany’s Ilja Stojanov.

Another Malaysian, Keanu Subba, will also be in a featherweight battle against Yoo Chang Min of South Korea.

One Fight Night will feature two other exciting World Championship matches as Regian Eersel from Suriname looks to claim his second belt in a matchup against Sinsamut Klinmee of Thailand for the inaugural One Lightweight Muay Thai World Championship.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s Superlek Kiatmoo9 will take on compatriot Panpayak Jitmuangon in the Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix Finals.

In addition, Kade Ruotolo, an experienced Brazilian jiujitsu fighter from the United States and the youngest ADCC World Champion in history, will face sambo stylist and decorated judoka Uali Kurzhev from Russia for the inaugural One Lightweight Submission Grappling World Championship. – The Vibes, October 13, 2022
