KUALA LUMPUR – Master township developer KL Wellness City aims to further promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle to the public through its Fitness Fiesta, which is scheduled on December 3 and December 4 in Bukit Jalil.

Organisers are expecting 300 participants for the inaugural event.

This two-day event will feature a line-up of physical and therapeutic wellness activities such as yoga and fitness challenges to empower a healthy lifestyle among the participants.

The Fitness Fiesta is free and open to all ages.

During the launch, KL Wellness City managing director Dato Dr Colin Lee said, he believes that this fiesta will be a positive initiative to bolster awareness to the public on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

“Following the success of our recent 10-day festival in July, the feedback we received from participants has been encouraging and many offered various ideas.

“It is encouraging to know that Malaysians are now placing greater emphasis on health and wellness since the pandemic.

“We also hope the upcoming Fitness Fiesta will motivate like-minded groups and organisations to continue hosting such activities for a healthier Malaysia”, he added.

At the same time, the national youth and sports deputy director- general Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman said that this event is an excellent opportunity for the public to sustain their healthy lifestyle.

“According to a study in 2021 by the sports industry, about 52% of Malaysians adopt a healthy lifestyle, exercising 3 times a week.

“This is a good sign because the public is aware of the importance of living a healthy lifestyle”, he added.

Meanwhile, KL Wellness City also announced their sponsorship of the KLWC Ironman Triathlon team to participate in GWM Ironman Western Australia on December 4.

To empower the community in adopting healthy lifestyles, two representatives from KL Wellness City, the executive director of branding, sales and marketing Dato Sri Vincent Tiew and corporate representative Victor Chen will be participating in the GWM Ironman Western Australia.

The participants will be competing in a 3.8km swim, a 180km ride and a 42.2km run as well. – The Vibes November 29, 2022
