KUALA LUMPUR – National Moto3 racer Syarifuddin Azman will be out of action in the Italian and German Grands Prix (GP) after crashing and injuring himself during practice at the Mugello International Circuit in Italy yesterday.

His team, ZK Racing, said in a statement today that Syarifuddin, better known as Damok, fractured his left ribs after he skidded and was thrown off his machine during the second free practice session.

“He will miss two races (#ItalianGP & #GermanGP).

“Damok will be monitored throughout his recovery process. Let’s pray for Damok’s speedy recovery so that he does even better on his return,” the statement said.

The 22-year-old rider, who was making his debut on the Mugello circuit, hopes to recover fast and participate in the coming races.
