KUALA LUMPUR – At times, the twists and turns of the political drama in Malaysia can certainly make one’s head spin and today’s nomination day is no exception.

In Gombak, celebrity Mohamed Azwan Ali, popularly known as Diva AA, took brief centre stage as he began bawling out to the press while explaining why he is not contesting against his brother and incumbent Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali of PN.

“It’s because of the whispers of my late Mak Tom (mother)…” said Azwan between sobs.

“She comes to me in my dream, advising me not to contest,” continued the dramatis personae.

Distraught by his decision, the celebrity did not even remove his shades as he tried to wipe away his tears.

Earlier, Azwan announced that he was going to take on his brother at Gombak but after the calling, he decided not to contest in the election.

Now, he said he will be backing Pakatan Harapan in the election.

This morning, Diva AA was seen greeting Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who is running in Gombak under the PH ticket. – The Vibes, November 5, 2022
