SINGAPORE – The republic’s Health Ministry has preliminarily confirmed zero new cases of local Covid-19 transmission as of noon today.

In a brief statement, the ministry said there are six new imported cases, all of whom were placed on stay-home notice (SHN) or isolated upon their arrival in the country.

Three were detected upon their arrival, while the rest developed symptoms during SHN or isolation.

“We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MoH press release to be issued tonight,” said the ministry.

According to Channel News Asia, Singapore today logged its lowest number of daily cases since June 9, when four infections were recorded.

The country loosened dine-in restrictions on Monday, allowing groups of up to five to eat together.

Social gatherings at the workplace are also allowed with the same five-person limit. However, the work-from-home directive remains.
