KUALA LUMPUR – CabCar Sdn Bhd has launched Transporter, a mobile app offering e-hailing and on-demand delivery services.

“Chief Transporter officer” and co-founder Ballagee Chandra, in a statement today, said the company aims to offer the most affordable, safest and hygienic rides and dispatch services, without hidden fees.

“At Transporter, we are serious about creating a new experience for our communities, and we aim to offer the most cost-effective services to customers.

“We aim to generate job opportunities that will help alleviate the loss of jobs and incomes due to the Covid-19 crisis, which has affected households and businesses.”

The firm obtained a licence from the Land Public Transport Agency last month.

Operations director and co-founder Nanda Gopal said the company will introduce the “Tabung Transporter”, where a portion of its income will be used to help educate and empower targeted communities.

“We are currently conducting our campaign exercise and onboarding process, as well as pursuing partnerships with local food and beverage outlets, while reaching out to other affected sectors under the company’s Lend a Hand programme.”
