A CAR owner was shocked when he was told that a python had entered the engine compartment of his vehicle.

The incident is reported to have occurred in the vicinity of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on Jalan Semarak here.

The vehicle owner was said to be attending a wedding when the emcee called his name on duty.

"The incident occurred at the UTM Hotel KL. The car owner was initially attending a wedding party at the hotel.

"However, he was surprised when the emcee announced that the car's plate number had been entered by a snake, according to a witness report from a guard at the hotel. The car owner went straight to the car after finding that the announced plate number was his,” he said.

Members of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (JPAM) were later called in to remove the reptile. – June 2, 2026
