THE beginning of the end is upon us. Fans of hit series 'The Walking Dead' will not want to miss the eagerly anticipated premiere of Season 11 as it premieres exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar today. This also marks the show’s final season after a successful 11-year run, with new episodes to be released weekly on Fridays.
'The Walking Dead' follows a group of survivors who must fight to stay alive in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic world. This new season will introduce bigger and more dangerous threats as the characters continue to evade the “walkers” and follows the groups’ encounter with a large community of nearly 50,000 survivors, the Commonwealth. We will pick up from the last season with Daryl, Maggie, and Negan on a mission to confront the Reapers whilst Eugene must find aid for Alexandria.
Fans can expect the return of many familiar faces, including Norman Reedus as Daryl, Melissa McBride as Carol, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Khary Payton as Ezekiel, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, Nadia Hilker as Magna, Cassady McClincy as Lydia, and Eleanor Matsuura as Yumiko. Additionally, the new season will also be welcoming back fan-favourites Maggie, played by Lauren Cohan, and Connie, played by Lauren Ridloff.
The Walking Dead’s final season will be it’s biggest one yet with executive producer and third-time showrunner Angela Kang leading the production.
