ASTRO kicks off new reality show The Fabulous, in search of a fabulous spokesperson for youths. Malaysian youth aged 18 to 25 can submit their entries online from now until April 16, for a chance to unleash their talents and charm on the big stage. Finalists stand a chance to walk away with attractive prizes including a cash prize worth RM20,000, a Goxuan emcee contract and an opportunity to be a Xuan programme host or take part in a Xuan web-drama.
Young people today are often labelled negatively, such as being 'too egoistic', 'emotionally fragile' or 'difficult to communicate'. This show adopts an observational approach to help challenge negative stereotypes of today’s youth, while highlighting their strengths. Following the success of Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant (Macip) and Call Me Handsome, The Fabulous is the first show of its kind that aims to discover outstanding local youth, recognise their achievements and provide a platform to showcase their unique thinking, charm, confidence, and creativity.
Shortlisted contestants will be tasked to demonstrate their talents and skills through various challenges as they compete to be the champion of The Fabulous. To participate, contestants must record a 90 second self-introduction and talent performance video clip, and upload it on: thefabulous.com.my/recruitment by April 16, 11:59pm. Contestants must be able to converse in Chinese and have completed their Covid-19 vaccination. Only shortlisted contestants will be notified by the organiser. – The Vibes, April 12, 2022
