A live-action adaptation of 'How to Train Your Dragon' is flying your way in 2025.

Dean DeBlois, who wrote and directed the animated trilogy 'How to Train Your Dragon,' 'How to Train Your Dragon 2,' and 'How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World,' will return to write and direct the new installment. It is set to be released in cinemas on March 14, 2025.

The Oscar-nominated 'How to Train Your Dragon' is set in the mythical Viking village of Berk and follows the adventures of Hiccup, a misfit teen who befriends an injured dragon named Toothless. The fantasy series, produced by Universal and DreamWorks and based on Cressida Cowell's books, has grossed more than US$1.6 billion worldwide.

Their adventures have also spawned three TV series – 'DreamWorks Dragons,' 'Rescue Riders,' and 'The Nine Realms,' as well as theme park rides and the live show, 'How to Train Your Dragon on Ice.'

Prior to working on the original 'How to Train Your Dragon' trilogy, DeBlois collaborated with Chris Sanders on Disney's 'Lilo & Stitch,' after previously serving as co-heads of story on 1998's 'Mulan.' DeBlois will produce the film in addition to writing and directing it. – The Vibes, February 16, 2023
