THE groundbreaking ceremony for the new SJK (T) Ladang Labu Bahagian 4, officiated recently by Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, marked a significant milestone in strengthening educational infrastructure and expanding learning opportunities for communities within MVV City, Negeri Sembilan.
Located within MVV City, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad's 2,382-acre integrated development in partnership with the Negeri Sembilan Government, the new Tamil school forms part of the township's long-term vision to build a complete and sustainable community.
The project was made possible through the collective efforts of the Negeri Sembilan Government, the school's Board of Governors, the local community and corporate contributors.
The successful mobilisation of approximately RM9 million reflects a strong spirit of partnership and a shared belief in the transformative power of education.
Matrix Concepts contributed 50% of the estimated RM8.9 million development cost, while the remaining funding was successfully raised through the Board of Governors' fundraising initiatives and generous contributions from the community and other stakeholders.
The school is scheduled for completion within the next 12 months.
Designed to support the needs of a growing community, the new campus will feature enhanced learning facilities.
These include academic blocks with 12 classrooms, science and computer rooms, a library, preschool facilities, a multipurpose hall, a football field and other modern facilities.
Currently serving approximately 20 students, SJK (T) Ladang Labu Bahagian 4 is expected to support a significantly larger student population as the surrounding communities and future developments within MVV City continue to grow. – July 20, 2026
