KUALA LUMPUR – The Education Ministry has relaxed its rule on school uniforms ahead of students’ staggered return to the classroom starting March 1, taking into account the financial burden on parents.
Students are allowed to wear “suitable attire” when classes resume, beginning with preschoolers, and Years 1 and 2 pupils next week.
The relaxed rule is applicable from March 1 to 26.
In a statement today, the ministry expressed hope that the decision will encourage more students to return to school.
Pupils in Years 3 to 6 will be back in the classroom on March 8, while secondary schools will reopen starting April 5, following a week-long school break. – The Vibes, February 24, 2021
