ONE of the world's premier sports or supercars has now opened its first store in Penang - a reflection of the state's fast-growing economy, as well as the residents' love for everything fast on the roads.
A spokesperson with Lotus Malaysia said Lotus Cars Malaysia had opened its first store outside of the Klang Valley.
"We had a few customers from Penang previously and now we want to showcase our cars directly to the potential clientele here.
“We also want to provide the direct after-sales service experience to our customers," said the spokesperson.
The new outlet is located opposite the prestigious E & O Hotel along the Penang Road / Farquhar Street stretch at one of the lots which used to house the Slippery Senorita nightclub.
It is the third outlet after Lotus stores in Pavilion Damansara Heights and Glenmarie Kuala Lumpur.
Lotus Penang will be the first retail space to be located outside of the Klang Valley in 28 years of presence in Malaysia.
“Penang is a very important and strategic location for Lotus Cars Malaysia, and we are extremely pleased to unveil the fully operational facility in 2024,” said Lotus Cars Malaysia executive director Mohamed Reza Abdul Mutalib.
The complete Lotus model line-up is currently being offered in Malaysia; assertive yet refined electric performance SUV, Eletre, Eletre S and Eletre R; agile and thrilling full electric Hyper-GT, Emeya, Emeya S and Emeya R; iconic and class-leading mid-engine sports car, Emira First Edition, First Edition V6, Emira Turbo and Emira Turbo SE.
