INTERNATIONAL Healthcare Week (IHW) 2025, the region’s leading healthcare industry gathering, will return to Kuala Lumpur from 16 to 18 July at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

Organised by Informa Markets, the event is poised to act as a catalyst for regional innovation, cross-border collaboration, and economic expansion in healthcare across ASEAN and beyond.

With more than 900 regional and international exhibitors presenting over 15,000 healthcare products and solutions, the event is projected to draw 21,000 industry professionals from over 50 countries.

Held under the theme “Innovate, Collaborate, and Elevate”, IHW 2025 will bring together five major international healthcare trade shows within a single venue—providing delegates with an integrated experience across the healthcare spectrum.

“This format allows attendees to explore developments across pharmaceutical production, medical devices, digital health, laboratory technologies, and healthcare systems, without the need to navigate multiple locations,” said Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director – ASEAN at Informa Markets. “With 125 conference sessions, the event offers targeted insights and expert-led discussions tailored to each sub-sector.”

The five exhibitions include CPHI South East Asia, WHX Kuala Lumpur (formerly Asia Health), WHX Labs Kuala Lumpur (formerly Medlab Asia), Medtec Southeast Asia, and HIMSS. Each represents a vital component of the broader healthcare value chain, from pharmaceutical supply to digital transformation and AI-driven health delivery.

Rungphech highlighted that Malaysia’s strategic role as ASEAN Chair in 2025 and its expanding medical tourism sector made it an ideal host. “Malaysia’s mature infrastructure, strong policy support, and regional connectivity position it as a natural leader in facilitating healthcare progress throughout Southeast Asia. IHW 2025 will strengthen that position.”

Malaysia is actively advancing healthcare resilience across ASEAN, with initiatives focused on digital health, sustainable financing, pandemic preparedness, and regulatory alignment. These themes will underpin many of the discussions taking place during the event.

The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), a strategic partner of IHW 2025, continues to promote Malaysia’s global visibility in the healthcare sector.

Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Chairman of MATRADE, underscored the event’s importance in showcasing Malaysia’s capabilities.

“International Healthcare Week serves as a powerful platform that elevates Malaysia’s standing as a regional leader in healthcare and medical services,” he said. “This event not only encourages innovation but directly contributes to our economy by bringing world-class exhibitors, thought leaders and decision-makers to our shores.”

Healthcare professionals are invited to register for complimentary access at [https://inthealthcareweek.com/](https://inthealthcareweek.com/). IHW 2025 promises an unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in ASEAN and strengthen connections across the global South. - May 29, 2025
