DEVELOPED as a digital marketplace platform, DuitJe offers income-generating opportunities not only to small entrepreneurs but also to work-from-home mothers, young people, the Orang Asli community, and other creative individuals.

While focusing primarily on handicrafts, creative products, and homemade goods, the platform also provides a space for individuals offering various services to turn their skills into a business venture.

Head of Public Relations and Marketing Amirah Abu Bakar stated that services showcased on DuitJe range from clown performances, online services, and event management to various creative, skill-based, and small business offerings.

According to her, DuitJe was established to help more Malaysians leverage their creativity, skills, and products to generate income.

“DuitJe was created to assist Malaysians—particularly small business owners, work-from-home mothers, the youth, the Orang Asli community, and those with talent and creativity. We want to provide a space for them to introduce and sell their own products and services.

“In addition to handicrafts and handmade items, we also open opportunities for those offering services—such as clowning, online services, and event management—to use this platform to conduct business,” she said.

Amirah explained that DuitJe adopts a more open and comprehensive marketplace approach, enabling sellers to showcase their products, identities, creativity, and skills to customers through a single platform.

“The platform is also expected to help boost recognition of local products and create more opportunities for small entrepreneurs and the creative community to expand their businesses in the digital landscape,” she said. - October 6, 2026
