CHINA Eastern Airlines has launched the second version of its international mobile app, adding changes to flight bookings, seat selection and itinerary management.
The updated app is available on the App Store and Google Play.
The airline said the flight search and booking process has been simplified, while the seat selection function for long-haul international flights now shows cabin layouts, seat pitch and available seats.
A redesigned Trip Hub brings passengers’ upcoming and previous trips together, while key flight information such as departure and arrival times, delays, terminals and boarding gates is displayed more prominently.
China Eastern said it also plans to introduce more international and locally preferred payment options in future updates.
The airline did not provide further details on when those payment options would be introduced. - September 22, 2026
