OPPO Malaysia will be launching the OPPO Reno5 Series on January 18 and it is all about ‘Picturing Life Together’.

To bring the concept to life, OPPO has partnered with Abdulrashade Studio to create a magnificent mural that captures the essence of friendship anytime of the day, but the mural is unique, in that it will light up at night if visited by a pair.

Friendship is all about capturing memorable moments, and it is much easier with the OPPO Reno5.

Therefore, they collaborated with Abdulrashade Studio and WheyChillin Ice Cream KL to create this interactive mural.

Lead artist Abdulrashade created this glow-in-the-dark mural at the famous Kwai Zai Hong area in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, specifically on the outer wall of WheyChilling Ice Cream KL, which is located along Jalan Balai Polis, Kuala Lumpur.

Kwai Zai Hong has transformed from being a neglected lane in Chinatown, to a revitalized area for murals and arts.

OPPO Malaysia chose this area for the creation of the mural because it captures the essence of current millennials, whom will search high and low for a perfect photoshoot ground to create content.

To create a better bond among users, OPPO Malaysia and Abdulrashade decided to make the mural interactive and only light up when two individuals stand in front of it.

This provides users with a unique spot to shoot some Insta-worthy photos that are accompanied by a beautiful backdrop.

During the day, the bright colors of the mural pop up, but at night there is a special surprise waiting to be unlocked within this interactive masterpiece.

“At Abdulrashade Studio, we are proud to collaborate with OPPO Malaysia to create an interactive mural art for the OPPO Reno5.

“Patrons can use the AI Highlight Video, and Dual-view Video features of the device to capture both the experience and the view altogether, no matter the lighting conditions around the mural.

“Creating this interactive mural has been an amazing achievement for us, because it truly showcases my fullest potential and capabilities in creating art.

“I hope that this art captures the essence of youth, the creative energy, and for some, even help to claim back some lost time with loved ones due to the pandemic of 2020.”

Nikki Chen, Marketing Director at OPPO Malaysia:

“OPPO has always stayed innovative throughout the times and provided consumers with devices that meet their needs and wants.

“The OPPO Reno5, with a 64MP Quad Camera setup, and one-of-a-kind finishing on the phone that gives it a trendy design, is suitable for any occasion.

“Not only that, it is the perfect device to celebrate friendship and couples, as it allows them to always picture life together via the dual-view function.”
