IN a video posted online, American analyst Jon Prosser has unveiled never-before-seen images of Android 12, set to be officially presented at the Google I/O conference, running May 18-20, 2021. This leak reveals a new interface and a new notification system.
The famous leaker gives viewers a sneak preview of a reworked interface notably featuring new widgets for the clock, weather and audio player. Toggles for WiFi and Bluetooth have been redesigned, as well as control sliders for device brightness and volume. But the biggest change appears to be as much visual as it is practical, since it concerns notifications. These are now displayed in the form of an oval-shaped widget in the top left of the screen, where the number of notifications appears just next to the clock. Pulling this down reveals the individual notifications.
As well as Android 12, Google I/O will, like every year, be an opportunity to discover what's new from Google, both in software and in hardware. Tech geeks and the generally curious can follow this year's 100% virtual event free online. – ETX Studio, May 18, 2021
