AS the Lunar New Year of 2022 arrives, it does so bringing in the year of the Tiger where the Chinese believes it will come with strength, exorcising of evils, and bravery. During such times, lion dances are the default hallmark feature of Chinese New Year celebrations in Malaysia. However, this has not been the case for the past two years with the raging of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In order to keep this national cultural, arts and sporting heritage alive, Sinar Majestik Sdn Bhd in collaboration with the Malaysian Kuala Lumpur XinYang Athletic Association (新洋体育会) is set to celebrate the arrival of the Lunar Year of the Tiger with this lion dance championship.
