THE annual Mooncake Charity Project by the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia is back in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival period. Together with Oversea Group of Companies, proceeds from the sale will go towards helping NKF's kidney patients.

“This project has been a longstanding effort from both NKF and Oversea Group of Companies that has continually helped kidney patients in Malaysia over the years," said NKF Malaysia chief executive officer Khor Xin Yun.

"The Mid-Autumn Festival is predicated on communion and camaraderie with mooncakes being at the crux of the celebration – by purchasing these sets of mooncakes, Malaysians are not only celebrating the festivities but showing our patients that they’re not alone,” added Khor.

There are two sets of mooncakes available for purchase. Set A (RM78) is made up of Lotus Paste Single Yolk, Assorted Fruits & Nuts, Red Bean Mooncake and Shanghai Mooncake Single Yolk. Set B (RM78) consists of Green Tea with Red Bean, White Lotus Single Yolk, Royal Fairy Single Yolk (Lotus Paste & Mung Bean), and Golden Starlight Single Yolk (Pandan Lotus Paste & Mung Bean). Both sets come with one of each of the listed mooncake flavours and are halal-certified.

Orders can be placed on the NKF website as well as their official Shopee page. All proceeds will be contributed to each of the 29 NKF dialysis centres.

For more information, contact NKF by emailing [email protected] or call 03-7954 9048 ext 218/207; or 016-230 1072. – The Vibes, August 3, 2023
