A CROCODILE measuring about 3m-long and weighing more than 100kg was found inside a drain in Kampung Muhibbah on the outskirts of Miri in Sarawak late last night.
The Miri Civil Defence Department captured the reptile at about 10pm.
Members of the public stumbled upon the crocodile in the populated settlement after they went to check on sounds of splashing coming from a drain.
Later, Miri Civil Defence personnel also alerted the Sarawak Forestry Corporation.
Together, the two agencies managed to trap the crocodile and haul it out of the drain.
The animal was taken to the Miri Crocodile Farm in Kuala Baram, which is owned by a private zoo. – The Vibes, December 7, 2023.
