The post accompanying a video, showed the maggot wriggling in the plate, evoking feelings of nausea and disgust among viewers.
The video's uploader identified the startling discovery at a mamak restaurant in Muadzam Shah, Pahang.
Netizens said it is important to maintain public health safety, even if many mamak vendors are commended for their stringent sanitary measures.
