FOREIGNERS keen to make Malaysia their second home can directly call a hotline helpdesk operated by the Federal Tourism Ministry in Putrajaya to get assistance in registering for the programme.
By doing so, these foreigners will be able to avoid being misled by illegal "agents", said Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.
"The MM2H One Stop Centre Helpdesk is already in operation at the ministry and we are registering foreigners who are keen to make Malaysia their second home.
"We want to offer foreigners keen to live in Malaysia an avenue to register directly with us and avoid being misled by illegal agents.
"The ministry and the Government want to make Malaysia an attractive place for foreigners who want to live here," he said.
Tiong is Bintulu Member of Parliament and also president of the Progressive Democratic Party in Sarawak.
Tiong said ministry personnel will be manning the helpdesk with the hotline numbers 03-88917434, 03-88917439 and 03-88917427. The email is [email protected]
Tiong had been going to numerous countries to promote the many tourist attractions found in Malaysia to draw foreigners here.
During these official visits, he also promoted the MM2H programme.
Last month he went on an official mission to the Gulf States countries and also promoted the MM2H to the people in these oil-rich countries in the Middle East. - October 14, 2024
