THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today displayed items seized during investigations into alleged corruption and money laundering involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The seized assets, which included approximately RM170 million in various international currencies and 16kg of gold bars valued at nearly RM7 million, were shown to the media during a press conference at the MACC in Putrajaya.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki revealed that the cash haul — including RM14 million in local currency and foreign notes such as baht, riyal, pound sterling (GBP), won, euro, Swiss franc, and yuan — was recovered from three locations, including a 'safe house.' - March 3, 2025
