IN celebration of Commonwealth Day 2025, Malaysia has reaffirmed its dedication to promoting unity, economic resilience, and sustainable growth within the Commonwealth community, emphasizing a shared commitment to a better and brighter future for all.

Marking the occasion on March 10, Malaysia joins 55 other Commonwealth nations in reflecting on the importance of cooperation and shared values.

A statement from the Foreign Ministry highlighted the significance of this year’s Commonwealth Day, noting that the theme, “Together We Thrive,” captures the collective spirit of collaboration among Commonwealth countries in striving for inclusive and sustainable development.

“This year’s Commonwealth Day holds special importance for Malaysia-United Kingdom relations, with the elevation of our bilateral ties to a strategic partnership following the Prime Minister’s Working Visit to the UK in January 2025,” the ministry added.

The Prime Minister’s visit to the United Kingdom, which took place from January 14 to 19, marked a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between the two nations, underscoring Malaysia’s growing role within the Commonwealth and its commitment to fostering lasting international partnerships. - March 10, 2024
