Ramanan vows to amplify Malaysia Madani voice in bid for PKR veep post
PKR is a party that prioritises, values, and celebrates "all races", said Ramanan - May 11, 2025

DEPUTY Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan, who has offered himself to contest the position of Vice President of PKR, is determined to champion the voice of Malaysia MADANI in line with the party’s core principles.

In a statement today, Ramanan, who is also PKR Deputy Information Chief I, said that PKR is a party that prioritises, values, and celebrates "all races" in the power-sharing process within the party’s leadership at the branch, state, and central levels.

Ramanan, who is also the Member of Parliament for Sungai Buloh and entrusted with overseeing Indian community affairs, said, “This decision was made based on the belief that KEADILAN (PKR), as a multiracial party, must continue to be strengthened with the voices and aspirations of all layers of society.

“I am committed to bringing the voice of KEADILAN members to the mainstream of the party’s leadership, ensuring inclusivity, justice, and equal opportunities for all.

“I believe KEADILAN must strengthen its role as a progressive political platform that truly represents the diversity of the Malaysian people, rooted in the Federal Constitution and the principles of the Rukun Negara,” he added as reported by Bernama.

He also called on all PKR members to unite in this struggle as one team, namely the “Anwar Ibrahim Team”.

“This election is not just about selecting leaders, but about determining the direction of the party in upholding the ideals of reform we have long embraced, and in supporting the leadership of the party’s president,  Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in continuing to bring change to the nation.

“With your support, we will continue to move forward as a party that truly represents the voice of the Malaysia MADANI people in line with the Malaysia MADANI vision,” he said.

On March 24, Ramanan announced his decision to contest for one of the four vice-president posts up for grabs in the party's election later this month to further strengthen and empower PKR from the grassroots level to the central leadership, especially in preparation for the 16th General Election (GE16). – May 11, 2025
