POLICE have received seven reports regarding an incident involving several vehicles that were hit by a lorry along the road near the Glenmarie LRT Station on Wednesday.

Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal bin Ibrahim said the incident is believed to have occurred at around 2.10pm.

He said initial investigations found that the incident occurred when the vehicle owners involved parked their vehicles on the roadside to use the LRT service.

"The vehicle owners realised that their vehicles had been damaged when they returned from work," he said.

He said the vehicle believed to be involved was a lorry, but the type and identity of the driver have yet to be ascertained.

"The case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.

"The investigation is currently ongoing and the police are obtaining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the vehicles involved in this incident," he said.

According to him, members of the public who have information or witnessed the incident are asked to come forward to assist in the investigation.

"Independent witnesses or individuals who have any information can contact the Investigating Officer of the Shah Alam IPD Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, Inspector Abdul Nasser Peping at 012-2863875," he said.

The incident had earlier also gone viral on social media where several vehicles were seen with smashed fronts, broken windows, and damage along their sides. - June 26, 2025
