Fuziah - PKR rules out suspending nine MPs over judiciary RCI call
The party has merely issued a caution to the MPs involved - July 20, 2025

THE People's Justice Party (PKR) has no intention of suspending the membership of nine of its Members of Parliament who openly called for the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into judicial appointments.

According to PKR Secretary-General Datuk Fuziah Salleh, the party has merely issued a caution to the MPs involved. She said their actions were in line with their responsibilities to raise issues of public concern, and the matter should not be construed as grounds for disciplinary action.

"The party president has himself clarified that this is not an issue. What happened was simply an expression of sentiment by grassroots members, which is understandable and cannot be denied," she said.

"I believe what the MPs did is part of their duty as elected representatives. However, a reminder has been issued that any significant statements such as this should be discussed internally within the party first," Fuziah added.

She made the remarks following the Seminar on Organisational Strengthening and the Presidential Roadshow on Sunday.

During the event, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim spent approximately an hour meeting with branch leaders, youth and women’s wing heads, and all candidates who contested in the 2025 party elections in Negeri Sembilan. - July 20, 2025
