THE Dewan Rakyat will today turn its attention to the unresolved issues of corruption and malpractice involving the Immigration Department at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), following recent revelations about the Fly and U-turn syndicates.

According to the Order Paper on Parliament's official website, Lee Chean Chung (PH–Petaling Jaya) is set to question the Home Minister during the question and answer session on the government's progress and timeline for resolving the scandal.

Other matters on the agenda include a question from Rushdan Rusmi (PN–Padang Besar) to the Transport Minister regarding the approval process for special vehicle registration plates, their issuance by government and private bodies, and the revenue generated from their sales over the past five years.

Chow Kon Yeow (PH–Batu Kawan) will ask the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation about the improvement of flood management funding, urging a shift from one-off allocations to structured annual distributions. He will also press for the creation of a permanent system for river maintenance and asset control, akin to the Malaysian Road Records Information System (MARRIS).

Meanwhile, Datuk Ali Biju (PN–Saratok) will raise a question to the Communications Minister on the expansion of the Integrated Radio and Internet Communication System (PRIME) in Sabah and Sarawak, and how it aligns with disaster preparedness efforts among relevant agencies.

Later in the day, MPs will begin debating the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), themed *"Melakar Semula Pembangunan"*, which was tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim last Thursday. The plan outlines Malaysia’s development strategy for the years 2026 to 2030.

The current Dewan Rakyat sitting is scheduled to run for 24 days until 28 August. - August 4, 2025
