A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy has died after reportedly falling from the sixth floor of an apartment block in Kota Damansara on Thursday.

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Ja’afar, confirmed that police received an emergency call regarding the incident at approximately 4.42pm.

“The victim was found lying motionless on the pedestrian walkway by a member of the public, who then reported the matter to the police,” he said in a statement today.

A medical team that arrived at the scene later confirmed the child had died on the spot.

“Initial investigations suggest the child fell from the sixth floor of the apartment,” Shahrulnizam said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 to determine the exact cause of the incident.
